Vacation Week

Noah and I had been looking forward to this last week for over 2 months. On last Saturday morning, Noah, Alex, my mom, my dad, and I packed up and headed to Tip Top Resort on the Whitefish Chain for a week of swimming, fishing, boating, eating, drinking, and above all - RELAXING. We had a great time. It was a week of firsts for Alex. He went swimming, swinging, sliding, fishing, and boating. He got his 6th tooth, can pull himself up on just about anything in sight and....Drum Roll Please....He says "Mama Mama Mama". The first time he did this it brought tears to my eyes and melted my heart. As if he wasn't wrapped around my finger already...

Happy 4th of July

Another week/weekend has come and gone. I can hardly believe the summer is half way over. The 4th of July and I have a love hate relationship because of this. This day is a great way for us to celebrate our Independence and honor the troops both present and past; however, I hate that summer is half way over.

We had another busy week. Alex got his first bruise and managed to break Noah's X-Box. Thankfully, they are fixing the X-Box under warranty :-)

On Saturday - Noah, Alex and I made the trip up to Wanamaker Cabin on Holt Lake to spend the day. My uncle Steve roasted a pig and we had a fantastic pot luck. Alex spent most of the day playing on his blanket in the yard with his trucks and was sure to have a huge smile for anyone who stopped by to say "Hi". Amazingly - he actually stayed on the blanket for most of the day, which is a blessing considering the amount of junk to get into.

On Sunday Noah and I headed over to my Aunt Janet's for the 4th of July Parade on Coon Lake. This is not the typical boat parade that you are thinking of. It is an all out battle. There are probably 100 boats armed with water balloons, hoses, and buckets of water. It is a lot of fun, but boy did we get warn out, bruised, and sun burnt. All in all it was good fun.

And just for fun here is our Little Boot Scootin' Boogier :-)
